How shapeshifting nanoparticles could deliver drugs to tumours


Chemotherapy is still widely used to treatcancer-- but it's far from perfect. The treatment can't tell the difference between healthy cells and cancerous ones, meaning that both are attacked. This subsequently leads to side effects such as sickness, weakness and hair loss.Now, a team at the University of Toronto has developed a "moleculardelivery system" which allows chemotherapy drugs to target unhealthy cells, minimising damage done to healthy cells.

Kurt Russell officially joins the Guardians of the Galaxy


Marvel Studios and Disney have officially revealed the cast for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the follow up to 2014's surprise hit sci-fi superhero movie.


The sequel adds a surprising trio of actors to the ensemble, including one whose inclusion has been rumoured for some time. That would be arguably the biggest "name" actor to sign on, Kurt Russell. He's joined by Elizabeth Debicki, and Chris Sullivan. They join previously announced newcomer Pom Klementieff.

'Beat Bugs' brings The Beatles tracks to Netflix

Netflix is planning a new kids called Beat Bugs. The CGI cartoon, created by Josh Wakely and produced by his Grace: A Storytelling Company studio, will feature music from The Beatles in each episode. Wakely and co struck a deal to use much of the Northern Songs selection of tracks in the series.

Unemployment drops below 5% but payrolls disappoint

Total nonfarm payroll employment rose by 151,000 in January, and the unemployment rate was little changed at 4.9%, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. Job gains occurred in several industries, led by retail trade, food services and drinking places, health care, and manufacturing. Employment declined in private educational services, transportation and warehousing, and mining.
