A partnership between Facebook and the charity Missing People is aiming to raise awareness of missing children in the UK and help find them more quickly.
It is hoped that by harnessing Facebook's userbase and geotargeting tools, alerts will appear in the News Feeds of those who are located in the best places to help. From today if law enforcement issues an alert and you are located within the search area, the alert will show up as the second item in your News Feed.
